Who would i contact about setting up mysql now that ive already created an ftp account? I know i should have set one up at the time of registration, but plans changed.
Also, are we allowed to have adds on our sites?

For mysql access contact mysql@polarhome.com ( http://www.polarhome.com/faq/cache/39.html ). Don't forget to mention your username and host system - thewave and openbsd.
