How to change my finger information?

I read on a website that if I want to change my finger info then I can use 'chfn' or 'passwd -f' (both do the same thing). I tried this on Polarhome, but the line that I want to change - Full name and e-mail - cannot be changed. Only Room Number, Work Phone and Home Phone can be changed.
Or I'm not doing something right? Please enlighten me THX!

PS: I managed to make the .project file, which displays in the Project line what I want, but I would like that piece of information to be displayed in the Full Name line.

there must be some mistake (or problem) it does allow finger information change.

try to use usermin... it might help.
